Our client is seeking a dynamic and resourceful Features Writer for a fully-remote 5-month contract assignment with the potential for extension. This role involves pitching and writing 1-2 stories per week, focusing on entertainment and celebrity topics tailored to the 50+ audience. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of ideas and sources and be passionate about contributing to the well-being of the 50+ community.

Responsibilities:

• Pitch and write 1-2 stories per week on entertainment and celebrity topics.
• Develop content that resonates with the 50+ audience.
• Utilize a wealth of ideas and sources to create engaging stories.
• Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure content aligns with the association’s goals and values.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in writing feature stories, particularly on entertainment and celebrity topics.
• Strong understanding of the 50+ audience.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent writing, editing, and research skills.
