SALESFORCE MAINTENANCE DEVELOPER – WATERBURY, VT

The State of Vermont's Department for Children and Families is seeking an experienced Salesforce Maintenance Developer to provide support for ongoing enhancements, application refactoring, and bug remediation of the existing SEBT Salesforce Application. This is a full-time, 12-month contract position based onsite in Waterbury, Vermont.

The selected contractor will work within an Agile team to develop and support Salesforce applications, contribute to application documentation, participate in user training, and adhere to established non-functional requirements. This role requires a Salesforce developer with at least 10 years of experience and familiarity with government systems or similar enterprise environments.

What You’ll Do:
•    Develop enhancements and refactor existing components of the SEBT Salesforce Application
•    Ensure all code changes pass automated scans using the State’s Copado DevOps Platform
•    Conduct unit testing and system integration testing
•    Maintain and update standard application documentation, including design documents, data dictionary, configuration workbook, and user guides
•    Deliver demos and training to Agile SEBT execution teams and DCF customers
•    Submit weekly status reports on assigned work
•    Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test case generation
•    Contribute to the development of automated regression tests
•    Assist with environmental back-promotion processes for changes in related applications
•    Log and track all work using the State’s ALM tool (Azure DevOps)

What You’ll Bring:
•    10+ years of Salesforce development experience
•    Proven success in application development, testing, and deployment within complex environments
•    Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and user guides
•    Strong communication skills for demos, training, and cross-team collaboration
•    Experience using Copado and Azure DevOps (or similar ALM tools)
•    Familiarity with automated testing tools and regression testing practices
•    Knowledge of user-centered design and agile development processes
•    Previous experience working with state government or public sector
•    Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and how to avoid them in Salesforce applications
