LEAD QA ENGINEER WITH SECDEVOPS EXPERIENCE – PHOENIX – REMOTE

Our client is seeking a Lead QA Engineer with SecDevOps experience for a 12+ month contract.  This is a fully remote position for candidates in the Phoenix, AZ area

This role requires a seasoned professional in quality assurance, security testing, and SecDevOps methodologies. The candidate will play a key role in developing and executing test plans, implementing automated testing frameworks, and embedding security practices throughout the testing lifecycle. The position is primarily remote, but occasional on-site work in NYC may be required.

What You’ll Do
•    Design, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for applications.
•    Develop and maintain automated testing scripts to enhance efficiency and coverage.
•    Collaborate with development teams to integrate security testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
•    Conduct security assessments, including penetration testing and vulnerability scanning.
•    Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools.
•    Participate in requirement reviews and design sessions to ensure security considerations are included.
•    Work closely with SecDevOps teams to implement security best practices in testing processes.
•    Perform regression, performance, and load testing as needed.
•    Stay updated on industry trends in QA, SecDevOps, and cybersecurity.

What You’ll Bring
•    10+ years of experience in quality assurance or software testing.
•    Strong background in SecDevOps principles and security testing.
•    Experience working in cloud environments (Azure).
•    Proficiency with automated testing tools.
•    Familiarity with security testing tools such as OWASP ZAP.
•    Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript).
•    Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps).
•    Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

•    Certifications in quality assurance (ISTQB) or cybersecurity (Security+).
